FAQ’S
Getting Started & Ordering
What is a dumpster rental and how does it work?
A dumpster rental is a temporary waste disposal solution where we deliver a roll-off container to your location, you fill it with debris, and we pick it up when you’re finished. Wicked Waste provides dumpsters ranging from 5 to 20 cubic yards for residential, commercial, and construction projects throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.
The process is simple:
- Call (267) 899-2100 or email to schedule your rental
- We deliver the dumpster to your specified location
- You fill it with approved materials
- We pick it up on your scheduled date
How do I choose the right dumpster size for my project?
Choosing the right size depends on your project type and debris volume. Our knowledgeable staff will help you select the appropriate container based on your specific needs.
Wicked Waste Container Sizes:
- 5-yard: Perfect for soil and concrete debris
- 10-yard: Kitchen remodels, garage cleanouts, small construction projects (3 pickup truck loads)
- 13 yard – Kitchen remodels, garage cleanouts, small construction projects, basement cleanouts, deck removal, flooring projects (4 pickup truck loads)
- 15-yard: Basement cleanouts, deck removal, flooring projects (5 pickup truck loads)
- 20-yard: Whole home cleanouts, large renovations, roofing projects (7–8 pickup truck loads)
How far in advance should I schedule my dumpster rental?
We recommend booking at least 2–3 days in advance to ensure availability, especially during busy seasons (spring and summer). However, we often accommodate same-day or next-day requests when possible.
For weekend deliveries or pickups, please schedule earlier in the week as our availability may be limited on weekends.

Are there any additional fees I should know about?
Wicked Waste believes in transparent pricing. Additional fees may apply for:
- Extended rental periods: $10 per day after the initial rental period
- Overweight loads: Charges for exceeding weight limits
- Prohibited items: Special disposal fees for unauthorized materials
We’ll discuss all potential fees upfront, so there are no surprises.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards and can discuss other payment arrangements. Payment is typically processed when you book your rental, ensuring a smooth delivery and pickup process.
Weight Limits & Restrictions
What are the weight limits for each dumpster size?
Each dumpster size comes with included tonnage as shown below:
- 5-yard: Up to 1 ton (2,000 lbs) — concrete and soil only
- 10-yard: Up to 1 ton (2,000 lbs)
- 13-yard: Up to 1.5 ton (3,000 lbs)
- 15-yard: Up to 2 tons (4,000 lbs)
- 20-yard: Up to 3 tons (6,000 lbs)
Important: Heavy materials like concrete, dirt, and roofing shingles can quickly exceed weight limits even in smaller containers.
What can I put in the dumpster?
Accepted Materials:
- Household junk and furniture
- Construction debris (wood, drywall, flooring)
- Appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers)
- Yard waste and landscaping debris
- Renovation materials
Prohibited Items:
- Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, asbestos)
- Automotive fluids and batteries
- Appliances containing freon
- Propane tanks
- Medical waste
- Tires (special disposal required)
What happens if I go over the weight limit?
If your dumpster exceeds the included weight limit, you’ll be charged a prorated overage fee based on the additional weight. This ensures fair pricing—you only pay for what you actually dispose of.
To avoid overage fees, our team will help you estimate the weight of your debris and recommend the appropriate container size during booking.
Delivery & Pickup
Where can you place the dumpster on my property?
We need a flat, hard surface for safe dumpster placement:
- Ideal locations: Driveways, parking lots, or level ground
- Space requirements: At least 50 feet of overhead clearance and 10 feet of width
- Access needs: Clear path for our delivery truck
We use protective measures like skid pads to prevent damage to your driveway or pavement.
Do I need to be present for delivery and pickup?
You don’t need to be present for delivery or pickup, but it’s helpful for the initial delivery to ensure proper placement. We’ll contact you to confirm delivery and pickup times. Just ensure the placement area is clear and accessible for our truck.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Our standard rental period is 7 days, which is included in your base price. This gives you plenty of time for most projects.
Need it longer? Extensions are available for $10 per additional day.
